Cloud Migration Apprentice
(Temporary for 6 months, extension possible)


Location: Belgrade

The position holder will be responsible in the Project “Cloud Move” for coordinating the move of the existing files to the new structure on Azure, SharePoint, and Teams. You will be the promoter regarding the new way of working with modern state of the art Microsoft Collaboration products (Teams, SharePoint, etc.) as well as Azure Storage options.

Your tasks

 
  • Be the steward regarding file migration and the usage of SharePoint and Teams
  • Understand the current way of working in SR Technics to support and advise the owners of file repositories on the modern ways of working
  • Support migration of 60TB of data from our current file stores to a future system
  • Support business owners with practical advice on structures and ways of working when using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Promote the modern way of working with Cloud file related solutions
  • Work with file repository-owners to identify target destinations for their data and assist with the migration effort
  • Keep track of folder owners contacted
  • Track progress, document what has been done
  • Document migration strategy at the data level
  • Track issues

Your profile

 
  • Basic planning and organizational skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Capable of working in team or individually
  • English knowledge (B2)
  • Good social skills – to reassure and guide the folder owners towards a more efficient way of working, despite possible reluctance to change the current way of working
  • Structured way of working
  • Comfortable with varying workload (usually it is 50%-80%, but peaks might occur)
