Industrialization Manager

The position holder will lead and manage industrialization projects of MRO activities on PW1100G-JM and CFM LEAP engines, related to their respective Entry Into Service and beyond. The position holder will be directly reporting to the Vice-President Development New Engines,
 
In close cooperation with Engineering and Operations, and in alignment with the OEM support teams, you will define and drive the implementation of the shop floor setup for Disassembly-Assembly-Testing (DAT).
 
You will also recommend the organization and process changes needed to fulfill all requirements of the assigned projects, in order to ensure OEM & airworthiness authority approvals for MRO work on both PW1100G-JM and LEAP engines, within the foreseen timelines and approved budgets.
 
As project leader, you will lead the resources being allocated to the projects for other department, ensuring the optimum workload and tasks repartition of, in alignment with the respective managers.

Once the industrialization phase completed, you will monitor the performance of the current operation technologies. You will ensure the continuous improvement of the New Engines operations and productivity, focusing on efficiency, quality, cost and safety standards, recommending and driving improvements, around but not limited to automation & digitalization.

 

Your tasks

 
  • Industrialize the operational setup for MRO capabilities on different engine models (e.g.PW1100GJM and LEAP-1A/-1B -), within provided timelines & budgets. Such Operations include, but are not limited to, Disassembly / Assembly / Testing (DAT) and backshop repairs
  • Interface with the OEM industrialization teams, to ensure compliance to the OEM requirements, for different engines (e.g. PW1100G-JM DAT services)
  • Align training, operational & IT setup, procedures, and processes with the Main Line Operations (CFM56 & PW4000), to ensure commonality, efficiency and use of best practices across both “Main Line” and “New Engines” organisations
  • Apply LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies to achieve all targets and improve post industrialization all processes in respect to productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety standards, focusing on TAT and costs reduction/optimization
  • Drive innovation around automation and digitalization
  • Lead and ensure the optimum workload and tasks repartition for the project-based allocated resources, in alignment with the respective managers
  • Guarantee quality of work performed in accordance with all applicable SR Technics, Airworthiness Authorities and OEM rules and regulations at all times

Your profile

 
  • Technical education (Bachelor / Master degree)
  • Further commercial education as an advantage
  • More than 10 years of MRO / Production environment experience
  • Project Management: > 5 years
  • Advanced ERP / SAP know-how/skills
  • Leadership experience as an advantage
  • Proven track record in Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma / CI application)
  • Proficiency in English as a must, ideally in German as well (Level C2)
