Your tasks
- Perform chemical and/or physical routine analysis (quality control of products, processes and parts)
- Perform chemical and/or physical investigations (e.g. failure analysis)
- Produce chemical consumables as requested by the customer
- Develop and implement tailored methods for analysis/investigations
- Provide required lab reports for development and operations
- Control either the shelf-life of laboratory consumables or the calibration status of laboratory equipment before use
- Notify discrepancies of consumables, equipment, request documents or SOP immediately to the laboratory manager
- Record all analysis/production/investigation activity as laid down in the applicable work instructions
- Administer the KANBAN storage including the replenishment of the existing stock items or in case if not included, introduce new KANBAN items as required with KANBAN cards, defined stock quantity and defined re-ordering point
- Initiate and manage inbound/outbound sample shipments related to Process Engineering & Laboratory providers or supplies
- Administer laboratory request(s) from customers including check of request and sample(s) on receipt, check of completeness of data, request assignment and coordination of the delivery of the agreed service
Your Profile
- Hands on experience in physical and/or chemical laboratory environments
- Sound technical understanding of the materials and processes involved therein
- Experience in Aviation, Aerospace business and legislation is a plus
- Proactive, positive and flexible character with a strong execution mentality and the ability to work autonomously and within teams on complex tasks
- Will to support and coach colleagues from operations in technical aspects of the preparation and analysis
- Scientific/Technical degree MSc or BSc in a relevant field (chemistry, material science, engineering) or equivalent experience in similar industries
- Fluent in English (Level C1), German (Level B1) is an advantage
