Payroll Coordinator

The position holder will be responsible for processing payroll transactions in our company as well as processing timesheets, updating payroll records and answering employee questions about payments. Ultimately, he/she will ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time.
The ideal candidate would bring along an outstanding analytical and numerical skills and great attention to detail.

Your tasks

 
  • Active collaboration and support in the Digitalization Project of HR processes for the complete employee life cycle, related to payroll topics
  • Workstream lead for the implementation of a new payroll system
  • Process absence records from UKA into the payroll system (e.g., illnesses, accidents, unpaid leave)
  • Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order
  • Coordinate with HR Services about changes in payroll (e.g., terminations, new hires)
  • Coordination with external payroll provider
  • Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll slips
  • Upload DTA (bank transfer) and oversee payment process
  • Update data with salary or wage adjustments
  • Process other financial compensations or deductions (e.g., annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes)
  • Create reports upon request
  • Answer employee questions about salaries and payments
  • Work with authorities (e.g., AHV, SUVA)
  • Process all payroll related accruals

Your profile

 
  • Solid commercial education (KV), further education as Payroll Specialist is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Swiss payroll coordinator or similar role
  • Familiarity with Swiss payroll processes
  • Good knowledge of Swiss legislation and social security law aspects relevant to accounting and payroll
  • Working experience with payroll systems (e.g., SAP HCM, SuccessFactors EC/ECP)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills with good statistical mindset with an excellent attention to detail
  • Team player with a strong customer focus and great communication skills
  • Stress resistant and ability to work independently
  • German level C1; English level B2
