DATA PRIVACY NOTICE FOR JOB APPLICANTS
In applying to join SR Technics Switzerland Ltd. or any of its affiliated companies (individually and collectively “SR Technics”) you will be providing us with certain personal data about yourself. SR Technics respects and safeguards the privacy of all applicants. This data privacy notice for job applicants sets out the key principles regarding how we will process the personal data of our applicants.
1. Personal data we collect and process
1.1 As part of your recruitment process we may collect and process the following personal data about you (whether such information is provided by you or a third party).
- your contact details, CV or résumé, application form details, national social insurance or other identification number, qualification certificates, training certificates, licenses, passport or permission to work documentation, references from former employer(s);
- if permitted by law, health details (via you or our occupational health assessor, limited to a declaration of fitness to work);
- information relating to criminal records or financial probity checks or other independent searches (and where we do so you will be asked to consent to such collection and use before we undertake the search) that we undertake to assess your suitability for the position applied for.
- materials produced during the course of the recruitment processing, including any video and presentations you provide us for the purposes of a recruitment assessment and any contemporaneous interview notes (whether made by you or the interviewer, about you).
1.2 We may obtain your personal data from you or from third parties such as our business partners, employment agencies, past employers, educational institutions, credit reference agencies, other background check organizations, sanctions and politically exposed person screening lists or public registers.
1.3 If you are a former employee of SR Technics, you agree to us using any available employment-related records held by SR Technics for the purpose of processing your application for employment.
2. Why we collect and how we process your personal data
2.1 Your personal data will be collected and processed for the purposes of
- assessing your suitability for the advertised role or other potential vacancies within SR Technics;
- preparing for the on-boarding, such as, reference checking and employment contract preparation;
- complying with our legal obligations, such as assisting with proceedings or investigations anywhere in the world as required by public authorities, law enforcement agencies and regulators.
2.3 If your job application is successful in securing a job with SR Technics and once an employment contract has been entered into, the Personal Data of you will be processed in accordance with the privacy provisions of, and/or relating to, the employment contract.
3. Sharing of your personal data with third parties
3.1 We may have to share your personal data with airport and other authorities and organizations as required to assess your suitability for the job you are applying for and, in particular, to obtain permission for you to enter the SR Technics facilities and adjacent areas.3.2 Should such permission not be granted (or withdrawn) you would not be in a position to exercise your functions as an SR Technics employee so that such permission is a precondition for you to be an SR Technics employee.
4. Retention Period
4.1 We keep records of your data for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which we obtained them and any other permitted linked purposes.4.2 If your application is unsuccessful, we will keep your details on file for up to six months or longer for the purposes of further job opportunities if you agree to such longer periods. Deletion of files may be suspended where required by law or to defend ourselves if we consider a complaint or dispute to be likely.
5. Your rights
5.1 If you are situated in the EEA or Switzerland, you have certain rights in relation to your personal data, subject to the pertaining legal conditions being fulfilled:- the right to be informed about the collection and use of personal data by SR Technics;
- the right of access to the personal data SR Technics holds about you;
- the right to rectification if any personal data SR Technics holds about you is inaccurate or incomplete;
- the right to restrict (i.e. prevent) the processing of the personal data;
- the right to data portability (obtaining a copy of the personal data to re-use with another service or organization);
- the right to withdraw consent if consent was given, and is required, for any type of processing of personal data;
- the right to object to SR Technics using the personal data for particular purposes;
- rights with respect to automated decision making and profiling (where applicable); and
- the right to raise complaint about the processing of SR Technics with the competent data protection authority.
