We are looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to join our shop floor team within our Piece Part Repair department at Zurich Airport. In this role, you will work on highly specialized processes for aircraft engine components and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision in aviation. Your tasks

  • Perform thermal coating operations on aircraft engine components using different coating technologies, including plasma coating, arc spraying and HVOF processes
  • Prepare and post-process components for coating, including surface protection, grit blasting and blending activities
  • Create and operate robotic programs on 6-axis ABB robots and handle components using dedicated fixtures and equipment
  • Operate, adjust and maintain coating equipment, including tasks such as changing spray nozzles, refilling coating powder, checking fluids and filters, and performing equipment alignments
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure machines remain in excellent operating condition
  • Work closely with process engineers, equipment specialists, machinists and laboratory teams to meet technical specifications and quality requirements
  • Interpret OEM repair manuals, drawings and manufacturing specifications while maintaining a clean and organized workplace according to 5S standards
